I got a spot on Public land that 8 miles off the highway and down a really bad road, its 1200 acre’s of woodland and its river bottom land. And for all game it’s a good place the critters don’t see a human very often. No trash and I have hunted this land for 3 years now and have never seen anyone else or their trash. This is in northern Oklahoma 5 miles from the Kansas boader. Primitive camp and hunting of all legal types are allowed.

Im from Nebraska, and we are SHOT OUT. Our game and parks have hyped up our deer and turkey hunting so hard for so long, and didnt set reasonable limits that it has now decimated our game populations. 10 years ago you couldnt walk into a fresh cut cornfield without stepping on a flock turkey, pheasant, and quail, now they are a rare sight! They allow 3 turkey in the spring and 6 in the fall. Two bucks per year and unlimited does. I used to have no problem putting the 4 deer I need in the freezer every year. For the last three years I have failed to meet that goal. During the 2021 hunting season, I ran into just ONE other resident hunter. The rest were all iowa, michigan, illinois, tennesee, texas, pennsylvania and even new york and maine!
We hammered our game and parks pretty good at all the conferences after the last season so weβll see if they pull their head out of their rear ends. Judging by how they have yet to release the 2022 big game guide makes me think they are making changes.
