Would you wash the outfit every night? Or try to a few times a week? I’d just be worried about the stiffness from crud, sweat, and such. If I went on a bikepacking trip, I’d have two kits, one to wear and one to clean and air dry while I ride. I figured I’d do the same with hiking, too.

I am on a quest to cut every single gram I can. But with food I will pack food twice as heavy as alternatives simply based on eatability. I can handle cold. Wet. Heat. Anything. But choking down food for sake of weight is where i draw the line

I heard it’s not about having the lightest pack. It’s about having the lightest pack to do the funnest stuff

"Pick a simpler trail" is hard when you haven’t tested out the trail before. Easy to look at the mileage and elevation without having experienced it and overestimate your capabilities. I wish there were more good videos suggesting good trails and/or places for beginner backpackers!
