I had a friend who has a military bump helmet dual night vision and some handheld highspeed ballistic wireless communication devices he has in his camping rig. he said once he had a guy mess with his soft topper. When he was camping in blm land in nevada utah area . He woke up to a guy playing with the zippers and dragging his something around his truck. So my boy started counting down from 10. As he slipped his boots and helmet on. At three he opened his tailgate with the helmet on and saw the guy hiding in the brush. He said peekaboo i see you… and chased the guy singing blue monday.
Now my boy isnt right in the head. Hasnt been since he left the corps. But i tell you when 6’3" 230 former proam mma fighter from detroit kicks open a tailgate wearing night vision singing some crazy techno emo song in the middle of the woods as he chases you down because you thought youd try him … Thats the kind of bowel loosening experience that makes you reconsider your life choices. He says he just bear hugged the kid and took him to the ground and called him his ‘new cuddle buddy as he choked him out’ but he then watched from a distance as the guy woke up and ran off. Idk how much is real or not. But it give me nightmares. Just thought id share. If your gonna mess with people staying in the woods. You might find people that actually belong there more than you and not in civilization. My man was famous in our friends group with being creepy when we could see him. Put him in the darkenss with a advantage and no rules… Nope.

I agree about going with your gut feeling in situations. Often times our spirit is alert to present danger even when our intellectual mind isn’t. Some call it the sixth sense when it may actually be a protective God given alarm system. Thank you for the educational video many people should watch this. You have another subscriber. ๐Ÿฅณ๐Ÿค—๐Ÿ˜‚๐Ÿ‘

I appreciate the elaboration of firearm safety, the level of comfort and knowledge in using it. It is very essential.

    Tourniquets

LOL German shepherds don’t weigh 200 pounds, and if they do, they are of no help! ๐Ÿ™‚I like the airhorn idea… these things are underrated. I just got two out of the garage, pressed on real quick to see it it still works, and my ear has been ringing for the last 10 mins! The gut feeling thing is a difficult one… it would help if you learned to listen to it… In our society we have largely unlearned that skill!

Some great tips! Thank you! The extra chairs tip is excellent.

  13. @charlesh1735 on February 19, 2025 at 11:25 pm

I typically carry my .357 magnum revolver with me when I go camping. Especially if itโ€™s deep in the mountains or in unfamiliar places. Just make sure you know the laws in the area you are camping in,whether it be a State Park or in another State you donโ€™t live in. I recommend getting your permit to carry and take classes on firearms training if you want to go that route. Not only do you need to know the laws in that area, but you also have to keep safety a top priority when camping with a firearm.

  14. @lizardodelaroux5863 on February 19, 2025 at 11:26 pm

I don’t have a gun, but I did put a gun sticker on my rear window. Hopefully that keeps people away just as well.

  15. @Dave-hw5df on February 19, 2025 at 11:31 pm

Only problem with dogs is that they are often responsible for going out and stirring up trouble with a bear and then lead it right back to you.

  16. @dawn5530 on February 19, 2025 at 11:33 pm

Even the spraying of Deep Woods Off, makes for a good defense .

    A tourniquetโ€ฆnever know

  19. @toomanyhobbies400 on February 19, 2025 at 11:37 pm

At trail heads, campsites, rest areas, before I leave the car I fold down both the driver + passenger sunshades. Makes it look like two people traveling together. Stopping at fast food place and eating outside I stand on the passenger side of the car. Makes it appear the "driver" is inside the business. Great video.

I’m so disgruntled when I go camping anymore that no one or no animal within a couple hundred yards wants nothing to do with me. Works great…

  25. @MisfitsFiendClub138 on February 19, 2025 at 11:41 pm

WE USE TO SET UP TRAIL CAMS FOR OVERNIGHTS, WE NOW USE BATTERY OP RING MONITOR WITH ADDED VELCRO TO PUT ANYWHERE. SAVED OUR DOG FROM A SKUNK & A NASTY RACOON. PLUS WE WATCHED THE RACOON ON OUR CELLPHONE FROM INSIDE THE TENT. TO KNOW WHAT IS OUT THERE IS KEY TO DAMPENING ANXIETY

    Purchase a Bang Stick > 12ga.

  32. @Russ-d2 on February 19, 2025 at 11:50 pm

Firing a gun in a camping area is like shooting fish in a barrel though. There’s a lot of people without any cover just tents and thin walled campers. Just saying.

  33. @Allkindaoutside on February 19, 2025 at 11:50 pm

Good gun advice. If you donโ€™t have proper training, please consider leaving your firearm at home. 11:54

  34. @lindseylamar8018 on February 19, 2025 at 11:52 pm

I solo camp all the time and one of the things I have done is buy a bigger tent than necessary, to make it look like I’m not alone.

  35. @safromnc8616 on February 19, 2025 at 11:52 pm

This seems like fear mongering. Likewise, leave your dogs at home. Many bear issues occur due to a yappy dog. Dogs are also not allowed in many parks.

  36. @mattrowland473 on February 19, 2025 at 11:52 pm

very bright flashlight and a shocker for good non lethal deterence

  38. @suzannehall5991 on February 19, 2025 at 11:53 pm

If you carry a firearm, your CCW will carry over to some states. But always check the laws in the state you will be traveling and camping.

  43. @Scott-y8y on February 19, 2025 at 11:57 pm

One woman said she was having trouble with 3 guys one time and pretty much incapacitated all 3 of them with bear spray. I don’t doubt it. ๐Ÿ˜‚
