Thank you for your video. I am travelling to USA to see my daughter. It is a 9 or so hours from UK and I am not used to fly so many hours. I have been watching all of your videos and they have helped me a lot. Great content xx

I don’t use my passport cover to protect my passport, I use it to not lose my passport at home or forget it in the dark safe at the hotel. I have a red one for this purpose

  6. @MartaRevDMC on April 4, 2025 at 1:50 am

I have really small containers that I will scoop or pour out only how much I think I will need for how long the trip is. I don’t even fill a sandwich bag full of liquids!

    Advantages of book over Kindle
    1. Won’t matter if it gets a bit wet.
    2. Cheaper to buy and lose
    3. No one us going to steal your book in a cafe.
    4. Won’t go flat and does not need charging or battery pack.
    5. Can give away or leave behind once read
    6. Healthier for your eyes.
    7. Won’t break if you drop it. Don’t need to be so careful with it.
    8. Can pack anywhere in luggage and not delicate.

1: terrible advice. Always carry some cash. Always. Dollars are the best

  11. @Mommaslew on April 4, 2025 at 2:00 am

Fun fact…. Our family went on a trip to Key West. The cab driver only took cash. My husband and I had none. We borrowed the $100 bill our son received in a birthday card!! Can’t believe he brought it!😊 Oh, and PS When traveling to another country…have cash for the place you are leaving as well as the place you are going!

"Shouldn’t carry cash" What stupid advice that is…try travelling in Third World Nations, in Asia, without US Dollars. That is just dangerous advice. Carry cash always !

  15. @Mommaslew on April 4, 2025 at 2:03 am

Try the Cabeau Travel pillow. Compresses and rolls into a case that clips onto your luggage. Also…Velcros to head rest so it doesn’t fall on the floor in the airplane. ❤❤❤❤ Found at Travel Tips By Laurie😊

Pretty good advice (with the exception of no cash). P.S. it’s “jewl-ree” or “jew-el-ree,” not “jew-ler-ree.”😊

  18. @KaysFantasy on April 4, 2025 at 2:08 am

I always carry cash around here in the UK 🇬🇧, I always try to use cash especially in small shops and so forth.

  19. @JB-eg1tb on April 4, 2025 at 2:09 am

I have a "travel" debit card that I transfer (online) money to. This "travel" debit card is not attached to my primary checking account. Saved me more than once from fraud– someone tried to withdraw $500 but I only had less than $20 in the account. I also place a travel warning on both cards (1 "travel" debit card and 1 credit card) by letting my bank know when and where I’ll be traveling. Most banks can now let you do this online. Because of doing this, I got the call from my bank a month after completing my travel, that someone tried to withdraw money from my "travel" account.

    sfaturi foarte utile!

  21. @NSawhney on April 4, 2025 at 2:10 am

I know this video is a year old, but I am quite confused, the small bag you stored medications in, is the zipper teeth not connecting? Then the zipper could have some issues, but you can watch a video on fixing that. But It appears the pull tab needs a new piece of fabric. If so, you can tie on a piece of scrap fabric. It would take a few minutes and you would save a fully functional bag from the landfill. Good luck out there.

I’m a frequent flyer and I disagree with most of these

This generation of children with their singsong manner of speaking is driving me nuts! Since when $200 is a ton of cash??? No idea why YouTube showed me this clip 🤦🏻‍♂️

  24. @emmarush327 on April 4, 2025 at 2:11 am

Im team no pillow – just a hoodie on the flight i can scrunch up and i always pack a pillowcase cause it makes me feel better about communal pillows lol

  25. @Fire2Fitness on April 4, 2025 at 2:11 am

The just in case examples are not good ones. Workout clothes… If you don’t work out, you don’t even have any to pack, just in case.

  26. @JilSpangenberg-ys7fz on April 4, 2025 at 2:13 am

A lot of your information might be good for your, beginning travelers, but I am almost at the end of my traveling abilities. I’m just trying to get through the next 2-3 trips

  27. @tonilafountain636 on April 4, 2025 at 2:13 am

I have a neck pillow outside with a zipper, I use it for packing extra clothing!

  28. @JilSpangenberg-ys7fz on April 4, 2025 at 2:16 am

I need a lot of assistance in airports and shuttle buses, so I always take a lot of 10’s and 20’s for tips.

  29. @GlynSnoopy-zb9zf on April 4, 2025 at 2:18 am

Never use the blankets or pillows on the flights, only the first flight of the day is the clean stuff, after that they are re-used for the rest of the day!!

  30. @keri471 on April 4, 2025 at 2:19 am

You are a man. Also some of us like to shower because hygiene matters.

  31. @jetyler3400 on April 4, 2025 at 2:21 am

CARRY CASH! you will need to tip ppl at various times when your not thinking about it. You don’t need a Tony Sorprano fold but a couple hundred bucks or at least a hundred is VERY advisable….

  32. @vicki5987 on April 4, 2025 at 2:21 am

Fillable pillow is the best invention EVER….It’s a way for extra storage for the small suitcases airlines make us use due to the cost to register a bag.

  33. @sheegoess8042 on April 4, 2025 at 2:24 am

My wife and I, not me and my wife!!

  34. @i.f.7386 on April 4, 2025 at 2:24 am

    Not really,
    1. you ALWAYS need cash cause sure cash can be stolen but if your wallet or phone got stolen and you have no backup money on you it’s a disaster. Also keeping wallet, phone, cash and passport in one place it’s a big NO NO but it’s obvious as well
    2. Clothes, I doubt you have specific “tourist outfits “ to travel, people travel in usual clothes most of the time and it’s not a backpacking that you need special gear 🤔
    3. Packing cubes are definitely needed, you don’t want strangers to see your clothes or underwear in airports or other other board crossing checkpoints or even if your suitcase broke and everything fall out (I’ve seen that 😮 not nice) and organized suitcase or backpack always looks better

  35. @JP-AP on April 4, 2025 at 2:26 am

Totally disagree about the passport cover… Mine has other things besides the passport and is RFID protected. I have tags with flight information, the address I’ll be staying at (foreign addresses are not as simple as most US ones), and my TSA Pre check number. I take the passport out when needed, then put it back in when done.

  36. @tonyshlean on April 4, 2025 at 2:26 am

    Not even audiobooks?

  37. @2Big2Zig2Fresh on April 4, 2025 at 2:26 am

I agree with how you do things. I travel alot and always try to keep everything in one backpack. I have too many backpacks, a weird obsession, I was known as backpack kid growing up. I bring a backpack, my friends will check in, overhead and a personal bag for a 3 day weekend. I do feel like I miss out on bringing certain clothes or entertainment. But I’m always ready, less packing and less things to lose. But buying things abroad gets tricky b.c everything I packed already has a place. So squeezing extra souvenirs is hard.

  38. @Cherylsposition on April 4, 2025 at 2:27 am

If you travel to Africa take us dollars always

  39. @kimauger4293 on April 4, 2025 at 2:28 am

Um you can still zip that bag. I agree with buying well made so we aren’t contributing to the waste, but there was still a tab to use that zipper.

  40. @laurastrijbosch2046 on April 4, 2025 at 2:29 am

i always pack to much chlothes, because the weather is hard to predict. So using packing cubes is the best thing I learnd at my first backpackingtrip.
We also take to much medicines with us, just in case. We’re lucky we never had to use it.

  41. @jilldiaz7592 on April 4, 2025 at 2:31 am

    Inflatable pillow. Tiny

  42. @JilSpangenberg-ys7fz on April 4, 2025 at 2:32 am

I no longer take a lot of jewelry or shoes. I take one set of jewelry that goes with everything (like gold, or silver no colors or designs) and I bring walking shoes (I wear them on the plane) a set of water shoes (for hotel shower and any beach trips) and a pair of super comfy slip on shoes in black, or brown or navy – depending on what colors I’m bringing. (I predominantly wear all black bottoms. Some times I bring all navy instead.

I disagree with your opinion of the passport cover. With the growing concern of RFID theft, having the passport RFID cover is great for storing your passport, global Entry, and vax cards.

  46. @amayautumn on April 4, 2025 at 2:36 am

Keep your cash! Always carry cash.

  47. @Fire2Fitness on April 4, 2025 at 2:36 am

You trust airline pillows and blankets?! Ewww.

  48. @StevanOutdoor on April 4, 2025 at 2:39 am

It’s general information and all depends on where you are going and how you travel. In Thailand I bring cash. Sure in the big tourist cities you can pay a lot with credit card and there’s ATM’s everywhere but not in the countryside. And using ATM’s is pretty expensive. That zipper doesn’t seem broken at 4.46. Only one puller came off. Just put a piece of string in there or a paperclip and good to go. I’ve used the same very cheap daypack (less that 10 dollars) as carry on for 6 months total in Thailand and it’s still good. Only 1 outside mesh pocket for the water bottle has a little hole. I now buy most of my travel stuff from China and excelent quality. No expensive brand names like indeed no expensive watches or jewelry. I do agree with the ‘gray man’ tactic.
