Great stuff. Agree with every point, especially the enjoy your first harvest. My first harvest was a spike elk. Not a trophy, but I will always have fond memories of that hunt.

    G’day mate,
I’m a subscriber and thanks for the video. Could you tell me what model Bow you have, the quiver you’ve got and that stabilser set up you have on your bow? I know this is an old video but thanks for posting it, and cheers from Australia.

I wanna buy my first bow but I’m overwhelmed of the variety so I’m not sure which one I’m gonna get. My budget is between $400-$500. Do you have any suggestions?
(I heard about Bear Archery Legit MAXX RTH Compound Bow Package)
    Any help would be appreciated

  8. @pineapplepissant on July 24, 2025 at 1:03 pm

I’m gonna be hunting with a recurve this month. Never killed a deer before I want my first one to be a challenge or unique.

Great freaking video, just got my first bow today, grandpa was a silver arrow bow hunter but passed away the summer he was supposed to teach me at 16, now 23 I’ve decided to learn it on my own with no clue how to get drawn or where to apply for a tag with no family or friends that bow hunt or hunt at all but this video made me confident to go out by myself and figure it out. Thank you sir

  15. @isaacbyler8890 on July 24, 2025 at 1:12 pm

  24. @svenjakel7076 on July 24, 2025 at 1:26 pm

Why leave the animal in pain and let it bleed out? What not go after it? Maybe this is a dumb question but then I’m sorry

Helps it came from someone who not to long ago experienced at the time this video was shot.

  37. @jamiebuchanan7272 on July 24, 2025 at 1:39 pm

Had the bow set up at a pro shop. It performed just fine https://www.youtube.com/post/UgkxQEKUoxLWwayEDZR0NKB-5limn4MBU-2L . And I would say this is a good starting now that I could pass down to my son when he is older. But the package was missing the release and a nock was missing from one arrow.Dealing with customer support was terrible. They suggested I buy a new release rather than correct their own quality control issue because it’s to expensive for the. to ship it out from China.Update: manufacturer got back to me and resolved the issue. I retract the above statement.

    Great video mate

  42. @tedbertele7153 on July 24, 2025 at 1:48 pm

Great video, have been on several hunts, but working hard to take it to the next level. I will never forget waiting for my elk to die after taking a shot and watching it disappear… Every possible scenario went through my mind… did I miss…?, did I hit anything…? did I shoot a horse…?, it was there waiting for me.

  43. @AlešKrál-o9h on July 24, 2025 at 1:48 pm

  49. @brandonpero8742 on July 24, 2025 at 1:54 pm

My first harvest with a bow 2022 was a 5 point buck! He’s very tasty!

  50. @sweettea-ms7ex on July 24, 2025 at 1:54 pm

A good tip is to use range flags. Figure out your range ahead of time, plant the flags, climb up your stand. Then all you have to do is wait
